Why Alpha

Alpha is a boutique investment bank and consulting firm that has successfully closed over US$450M in transaction value and has advised over 60 clients since the company's inception in 2018. Alpha works with investment funds, large-cap strategies, mid-cap, and growth-stage start-ups.

Currently, the Company provides customized solutions to its clients in fundraising, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A), CFO services, consulting and financial modeling, fairness opinion, investment advisory (Due Diligence), and specialized market research

Guillermo has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, with a primary focus on corporate banking, financial consulting, and investment banking. Additionally, Guillermo has experience in managing alternative asset portfolios, asset-based lending, and senior corporate management.

Mr. Gómez has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Boston College. Guillermo is an active investor in the LATAM Private Equity and Venture Capital ecosystem.

George is a bilingual Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with over thirteen years of combined private equity and senior executive experience. Currently, he works as founder and Managing Director of Alpha IB, a boutique investment banking and focused in bringing financial advice in LATAM. Through Alpha, George has successfully closed around US$450M in transaction value. Most recently, as CFO of one of the most well-respected startups in LATAM, he raised roughly USD$10 million (through various rounds and instruments). Prior to this, George worked for one the wealthiest families in the Boston area where he focused exclusively on alternative investments. George received a BS in Mgmt. and an MS in Finance from UMass Boston.
